This policy describes which personal data we process on quantum-beyond.com, for what purpose, on what legal basis, and which rights you have as a data subject under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Which data we process

• Enquiries: name, email address, phone number, company and the details about your project that you share with us when you contact us by email or phone.
• Access and log data: IP address, date and time of access, page requested, browser type — collected automatically when you visit the website, for technical operation and security.
• Cookie choice: see section 5.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Responding to your enquiry and preparing a possible collaboration — pre-contractual measures / performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Secure and stable operation of the website — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Storing your cookie choice — technically necessary (§ 25(2) TDDDG, the German telecommunications and digital services data protection act). Optional analytics or marketing services — only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

4. Hosting and external resources

This website is operated by a hosting provider that supplies the technical infrastructure and acts exclusively on our behalf and under our instructions (data processing under Art. 28 GDPR). When you visit the website, no fonts, scripts or other content are loaded from third-party servers (for example Google Fonts or content delivery networks); fonts installed on your device are used. If further services are integrated in the future (for example appointment booking, an analytics tool or embedded videos), this policy will be updated and the providers concerned will be named here.

5. Cookies and local storage

This website does not currently set any cookies. We store your choice in the cookie banner in your browser’s local storage (localStorage, entry “qb-consent”) for 12 months, after which we ask again. This entry is technically necessary to apply your decision. We do not currently use analytics or marketing services; if we introduce them in the future, they will only be activated if you expressly consent via the cookie banner or the cookie settings. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.

6. Retention

Enquiries are deleted once they have been fully handled and no statutory retention obligation applies. For data arising from an ongoing client relationship, the commercial and tax retention periods under the German Commercial Code (HGB) and Fiscal Code (AO) apply (generally 6 to 10 years for business records and accounting documents).

7. Transfers to third countries

Should a service involve transferring personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (for example the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the provider concerned.

8. No automated decision-making

No decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR, are made.

9. Your rights

Under Arts. 15 to 21 GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future. To do so, contact [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in particular the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).

10. Changes to this policy

We amend this policy whenever changes to our data processing require it. The “Last updated” date above shows the most recent update.
